The narrative of Orbio started, not with the drawing of a chair, but with a profound, almost anthropological understanding of how people engage. The conceptualisation behind our furniture line infused the thoughtful implementation of the interplay of geometric
forms—welcoming the ability to approach, ask and engage in purposeful dialogue.

A prestigious leader in the Office Design & Build Industry, known for setting new benchmarks for speed, scale, and trust; the Officebanao team recognised the core deficiency of the traditional office—the failure to encourage natural human flow.

“They believed that furniture itself needed to become a subtle, living form of architecture—a silent guide for movement and conversation.”

This insight gave rise to Orbio’s foundational belief: SHAPES influence BEHAVIOR.

The traditional office relies heavily on angular or linear forms. While these shapes effectively create structure, defining personal territory and enforcing individual focus; they also create visible, almost aggressive, barriers. To foster collaboration, the design for workspaces needed a new language. The ethos behind Orbio is to manage and master this balance: to coordinate
elements of linearity (for intended focus), alongside curvilinear elements (to facilitate easy engagement).

“The idea was to design furniture that would articulate a space—establishing contexts and connections—instead of furniture that would merely fill a space.”

Consider a workspace with a broad, curved bench that invites and encourages a small group of coworkers to collocate. This could effortlessly connect to an adjacent set of angular desks that provide quiet focus. This ecosystem, created by the geometry of Orbio, allows both private concentration and teamwork to exist in harmony—where collaboration becomes a natural and
inevitable part of the work day.

The inspiration for the brand name itself is a tribute to this geometric focus. Branching from the word "orb," Orbio is inspired by shapes and draws from the universal language of natural symmetry—a language that transcends cultures and international sensibilities. Orbio stems from a shared visual language of shape and proportion—offering a cohesive aesthetic that feels both futuristic yet grounded.

The launch of Orbio focusses on targeted segments, each designed to address specific workplace behavioral needs:
